Greetings & Thoughts
A new month and a Rainier Avenue survey

As anticipated, the Urban Chat calendar is better filled for this email as April begins, with a Council meeting tonight, a PBAC meeting on Wednesday, and more in the coming weeks.

Also, Public Works has asked for responses to a survey on the Rainier Avenue road diet between N. McDowell Boulevard and Sonoma Mountain Parkway.  The survey is here.  I’ve driven the road segment several times and found the new striping not as I’d anticipated but reasonable and appropriate.  I’ll drive it one more time before responding to the survey.

Next week, look for information about newly formed Urban Chat committees, as we work in more ways toward a better Petaluma.

Dave Alden

Dave Alden was the blogger whose scribblings led to the first Urban Chat meeting. Since that time, he has served as the de facto executive director, spearheading several Urban Chat initiatives while also working to bring in enough other people that Urban Chat will live on when he steps away into an urban retirement of downtown living, sidewalk dining, walking, and transit.
